Backed by a16z, our R&D team faces a massive technical challenge: translating free-form LLM intent into highly optimized, deterministic computer vision tracking pipelines that can run on deeply constrained edge hardware (NVIDIA Jetson, embedded GPUs) at 30+ FPS.
• Build and ship backend client-facing features end-to-end - from backend APIs, data pipelines, and frontend edits.
• Translate requirements from active customer pilots and deployments into clean, production-ready code.
• Integrate AI model outputs (detection, classification) into actionable product experiences.
• Develop operator dashboards and alert interfaces used in live deployments.
• Own the product architecture
• Mentor new hires and serve as a knowledge focal point
• Participate in client calls to understand constraints and validate solutions
• Collaborate closely with the CTO and research team to close the gap between model capability and product UX.
• Strong Python backend development - APIs, async pipelines, clean architecture.
• Frontend proficiency in React and TypeScript — you can own a UI feature without a dedicated frontend engineer.
• Experience shipping features in fast-moving environments with real users.
• Comfort working across the stack and picking up new domains quickly.
• Good communication skills — you can talk to a client and a researcher in the same day.
• Leading mentality – mentoring, explaining, documenting and keeping the team aligned
• Familiarity with video pipelines: RTSP, FFmpeg, or live video processing.
• Experience with Docker-based deployments (cloud or on-prem).
• Background in computer vision or ML-adjacent products.
• Exposure to industrial or enterprise environments.

Ownership Ship backend APIs, data pipelines, and frontend interfaces — solo. From a customer pilot conversation to production deployment, you own the full stack without waiting for handoffs.
AI-to-Product Integration
Translate raw model outputs — detections, classifications, tracking — into real operator experiences. Dashboards, alert interfaces, and live video feeds that work in the field, not just in staging.
Architecture & Team
Leadership Own the product architecture decisions and serve as the knowledge focal point. Mentor new hires, document critical systems, and keep the team aligned as we scale from pilot to enterprise.
